The route

How you get there

3 groups over 3 weeks, and 3 of them are places you can join. You leave each one able to do the thing it names, not having sat through it.

  1. 01 · Build & launch a real Next.js websiteJoin here

26 September · Idea to Internet · Start here. You have coursework but nothing shipped, and no site of your own.

Direct AI to design and build a real Next.js website, then put it live on your own public URL.

  2. 02 · Automate the testing and the deployJoin here

3 October · Git, GitHub & Actions · You already have a project running locally and want it to deploy itself.

Work the way a team works: pull requests, a protected main branch, and a pipeline that runs your checks and blocks broken code.

  3. 03 · Package it and run it on KubernetesJoin here

10 October · Docker & Kubernetes · You can ship code but have never packaged or orchestrated it.

Containerise the application with its database, then run it on a cluster with rolling updates and a rollback you have rehearsed.

What you finish with

One project carried across all three weekends: built and launched in the first, automated in the second, containerised and orchestrated in the third. The same repository the whole way through, so the story holds together.

What the cohort includes

  • All three SkillLab weekends, six days in total
  • 48 guided hours with the trainer, in the room and live online
  • Courseware and lab material for each weekend
  • Every weekend also bookable on its own at its normal fee

About this pathway

Most students finish a degree able to write code and unable to show it running. This track exists to close that gap in three weekends, using one project rather than three unrelated exercises.

You start by building something real. Over the first weekend you direct an AI coding agent through the decisions a developer actually makes, and end with a responsive website live on a public URL, in your own repository. The second weekend turns that project into one a team could work on: branches, pull requests, review, and a pipeline that runs your checks and refuses to ship code that fails them. The third weekend packages the same application into containers, runs it alongside its database, and deploys it to a Kubernetes cluster you stand up yourself, with an Ingress in front and a rollback you have practised.

The through line matters more than any single tool. By the end you can open your GitHub profile and walk someone through a project you built, automated and ran, explaining each layer as your own decision. That is a different conversation from listing technologies.

Every weekend is a full SkillLab in its own right and can be booked separately. Taken together at the student price, the three become a single track with one project running through them.

Your portfolio when you finish

You finish able to build a small web application, ship it through a pipeline that blocks broken code, and run it in containers on a cluster you can debug.

  1. 01

A live website on a public URL

A responsive site you directed, built and deployed yourself, running on your own hosting account, with the content model and design tokens behind it.

  2. 02

A repository that shows how you work

Your own GitHub repository with a readable commit history, pull requests and review, sitting on the profile a recruiter actually opens.

  3. 03

A pipeline that guards the branch

A GitHub Actions workflow that runs your checks on every push, with a protected main branch and a deploy you gated yourself.

  4. 04

Containers and a cluster you can debug

Your application packaged as images, running with its database through one command, and deployed to Kubernetes with a rollback you have rehearsed.
