Deesha's Web Expert Privacy Notice

Last updated 26 August 2026

This notice applies when you use Deesha's Web Expert, the participant-facing custom GPT for Deesha's Idea to Internet SkillLab, and its Foundation Playground. It supplements Deesha's general Privacy Policy.

Deesha's Web Expert runs inside ChatGPT, a service provided by OpenAI. OpenAI processes your ChatGPT account, conversations, uploaded material and use of ChatGPT capabilities under its own terms, privacy policy and account controls.

The short version

  • The Foundation Playground saves draft answers in your own browser. It does not automatically send them to Deesha or ChatGPT.
  • When you copy or upload a Foundation Brief into Deesha's Web Expert, ChatGPT processes that information.
  • OpenAI states that GPT builders cannot view individual conversations that people have with their GPTs. Deesha does not automatically receive a copy of your chat, prompts or uploads.
  • The public participant edition is designed to work without a Deesha-controlled custom Action or separate Deesha database.
  • Do not share passwords, one-time codes, access tokens, private keys, payment details, private customer data or any material you are not authorised to use.

Information you may choose to provide

To guide your website project, the Web Expert may ask for or work with:

  • your preferred name, language and workshop reference;
  • your project or business name, service area, audience, goals and website requirements;
  • public-facing contact details that you intend to place on your website;
  • text, brand assets, images, screenshots, reference links and other files;
  • a Foundation Brief, Website Blueprint, Project State or approval record;
  • public website, GitHub repository or Vercel deployment links; and
  • technical evidence such as an error message, build result or redacted screenshot.

Provide only what is useful for the current workshop step. Redact information about customers, employees, learners or other people unless you have a clear lawful reason and their permission to share it.

Foundation Playground data

The Foundation Playground runs in your browser and stores unfinished answers in local browser storage on that device. Its purpose is to let you pause and continue the brief.

Nothing is submitted to Deesha or ChatGPT automatically. You decide when to copy the generated brief, download it as a text file or paste it into ChatGPT. Using Reset removes the Playground's saved browser copy. It does not delete a file you already downloaded, text you copied elsewhere or a brief you already shared with another service.

ChatGPT conversations and files

OpenAI processes the prompts, files, screenshots, links and other information you submit in ChatGPT. OpenAI's retention, model-improvement choices and data controls depend on the ChatGPT account or workspace you use. Review the OpenAI guidance for GPTs and OpenAI Privacy Policy for current details.

Deesha cannot use the GPT Builder to open and read your individual ChatGPT conversation. We receive information from a GPT session only when you deliberately share it with a trainer or with Deesha support, for example by sending a screenshot, transcript, exported file or support email.

Optional external tools and hand-offs

The public participant edition is intended to remain usable without an App or custom Action. In a separately tested connected edition, ChatGPT may offer participant-authorised GitHub or Vercel Apps. If you choose to connect one, relevant parts of your request and account data may be sent to that provider to perform the operation you approve. Check the provider, requested permissions, repository and project before continuing. Deesha does not need your password, one-time code or access token.

The workshop may also give you a hand-off to paste manually into Codex or Claude. That transfer happens only when you choose to make it. The receiving service's terms, privacy policy and account controls then apply.

If a future public version uses a Deesha-controlled custom Action, we will update this notice with the Action's purpose, data fields, recipients and retention before enabling it.

How information shared directly with Deesha is used

If you deliberately send workshop material to a trainer or to Deesha support, we use it to answer your request, diagnose the reported problem, support the workshop and protect the service. We do not sell that information. Our general Privacy Policy explains retention, service providers and your rights for information held directly by Deesha.

Your repository, deployment and published website

Your GitHub repository, Vercel project and published website remain under your control. Before publishing, remove secrets, private records and unapproved personal information. If you add analytics, forms, booking, payments, WhatsApp, email or another third-party service to your website, you are responsible for an accurate privacy notice and any consent required for that site. The Web Expert provides workshop guidance, not legal approval.

Retention and deletion

  • Playground drafts: remain in that browser until you reset them, clear the browser's site data or the browser removes them.
  • ChatGPT conversations and uploads: are controlled through your ChatGPT account and OpenAI's current retention and deletion processes.
  • Connected services: are controlled through the relevant GitHub, Vercel or other provider account. Disconnect an App and review its access in that provider when you no longer need it.
  • Material sent directly to Deesha: is handled under our general Privacy Policy. Contact us to request access, correction or deletion where applicable.

If you share a secret by mistake

Stop using the exposed secret, revoke or rotate it with the relevant provider, remove it from the conversation or repository where possible, and disconnect unneeded access. Do not send the secret again when asking for help. A redacted error message is normally enough.

Children

Participants under 18 should use the workshop tools with the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian. Do not submit a child's private information when a fictional or redacted example will do.

Changes to this notice

The date above shows when this notice last changed. We will revise it before a material change to the Web Expert's data handling, including the introduction of a Deesha-controlled public Action.
